F15 Air Combat

The F-15 is one of the first planes to be designed to achieve air superiority and manueverability.  F-15s went into combat for the first time for the Israeli army in 1978 in Lebanon. In Operation Desert Storm 38 enemy aircraft were shot down by the F-15C.  The F15 is one of the best planes the world has ever seen especially when it comes to combat records.  Saddam’s air-force refused to go airborne during Operation Iraqi Freedom due to the fear of the F-15C Eagle.

Global Hawk UAV – RQ-4A Block 20 Global Hawk Aircraft

The Global Hawk is a High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) recconnasaince aircraft UAV, and the most capable one in the world according to many experts. The newest rollout of the Global Hawk is the Block 20, which is the 17th Global Hawk to be designed. The Global Hawk has logged thousands of flight hours; bringing the United States Military incredible information and High-Res imagery.

MQ9 Reaper UAV

The photo shows the Hunter-Killer UAVReaper which is basically a predator on steroids. Fully loaded, this unmanned air vehicle can take out a small country’s defenses before the rest of the crew move in. 

F-35 Lightning II

The first F-35 Lightning II flew for the first time on Friday, Dec. 15. The plane is shown climbing out shortly after takeoff from Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas. The stealthy, multi-service F-35 is the most powerful single-engine fighter in history, and is designed to replace the F-16, F/A-18 Hornet, the Harrier and the A-10.

“The Lightning II performed beautifully,” said F-35 Chief Pilot Jon Beesley following the flight. “What a great start for the flight-test program, and a testimony to the people who have worked so hard to make this happen.” The most powerful engine ever placed in a fighter aircraft – the Pratt & Whitney F135 turbofan, with 40,000 pounds of thrust – effortlessly pushed the F-35 skyward.

AH-64 Apache
